Review on 🎡 Facmogu Turntable Slipmat: Anti-Static Wool Mat for Enhanced Sound Quality & Reduced Noise - 12 Inch Phonograph LP Vinyl Record Player (Black) by Michael Boyce

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality non slip mat that doesn't build up a lot of static electricity so that's a plus!

The question of what kind of mat is better is futile, since everyone has preferences between rubber, leather, wool, felt, cork, acrylic and so on. I went with this one because it's low key, I've seen other records with the least amount of static show wool and felt mats and I figured if it doesn't work with my turntable I might as well just do it use in my cleaning station and it's cheap. enough that I don't mind if it gets wet. Well, after playing dozens of records on this one, I've noticed that there's almost no static buildup. I can't say for sure if this mat helped at all, but compared to the standard rubber mat on my Technics SL-Q30, which had records crackling with static electricity when I took them off the record after just one listen, is this is a huge improvement. . Of course it will not remove any static electricity, but if you place a freshly cleaned record on top of it then there is no additional static electricity from this mat. Outside. If you have a dust cover on your player, this is perfect. If not, you may need to vacuum it regularly. I used my Vinyl Vac which I use to clean when it arrived so it's clean and dust/dirt free. Definitely a great buy! Maybe I will take other similar ones in other colors in the future.
