I read other reviews and decided to give it a try. So far so good, the first day. I left my phone (Moto X) in the sun under the Shade device at first and it charged really well until the phone overheated and stopped charging. When I shaded my phone and left the Lixada panel in the bright afternoon California sun, the phone went from 50% to 100% in just over an hour. It worked about the same before it broke, so I'm happy with the speed of this device. It's small, compact and seems reasonably well made. It will be interesting to see how he will behave on the upcoming one-week trip in a small sailing boat. UPDATE: Three weeks later, Lixada is still working. I use it every day to charge my phone. It takes 3-4 hours to go from almost empty to almost full. I wrapped it in a book and took it with me on a trip, it didn't break. So far so good for this tiny, inexpensive, lightweight USB solar charger. UPDATE: Now 4 months later I use it almost every day to charge my phone, it still works. Addendum: 3 years later. The market has changed. "Solar chargers" Solar modules are currently very trendy and quite cheap. But this Lixada keeps ticking. One corner is bent and still works
