Best hair straightener worth every penny

I recently bought a L'Oreal Steampod Pro 3.0 on Revain Prime Day. The $50 discount was too good to pass up. After a few weeks of use here is my first review. The partnership between L'Oreal and Rowenta in developing this product is good - they have made a great product. So far, this luxury purchase has been worth every penny. I don't know how to style my hair, I'm a wash and go person. Every year since I've been in my 30s, my hair has been getting unrulier, wavier (in the weirdest way), and frizzier. Now I need to use a styling tool to make my hair look presentable! This SteamPod doesn't use heat to straighten or curl, instead using steam which is less harmful. Despite its size, it is easy to use. My old GHD Platinum+ and T3 SinglePass straighteners burned my hair even though I only used them twice a week. Not with this kid and I'm seeing similar results - my wavy, unruly hair is smooth, straight, shiny and less frizzy after one pass. It also doesn't feel that dry. So far I've tried two styles on my hair just below my shoulders - straight and loose curls. Both are easy to make and the style lasted all day at the Bay Area pace. Bonus - it takes me less time to achieve this effect than if I had used a blow dryer and a round brush. My only gripe, and it's tiny: As with all steam irons, you must use distilled water to avoid mineral buildup and damage to your SteamPod.
