Review on ALEADER Sandals Support Outdoor Sandal Boys' Shoes in Sandals by Steven Harmon

First impression - they look good. Love the purple color combo. The sandals don't have a lot of branding, which is good, but there is a small tag sewn into the nylon straps of each foot. Where it says 'Teva' on the pair of Teva sneakers they're modeled on, these labels say ALEADER. However, after my daughter has worn them a few times, I do not recommend these sandals for the following reasons.1. Run big (long and wide). I got them for my 7 year old. She is a size 1.5 so I took a size 2 pair to give her room to grow. But they were tall and a bit wide. They were too big for my 7 year old. Actually they are perfect for me. For reference, I wear 5-5.5 M for women or 3.5 for kids. Usually children's shoes are made narrower, but this one is not. To make them narrower, they made lots of loose straps for my kid that just hang freely. They are suitable for bigger kids (big kids sizes) or adults with small, narrow to medium width feet.2. Quality. The appearance of the sandals is very beautiful, but the quality is not as good as that of the famous Teva brand. The nylon straps had threads sticking out right out of the bag, and I noticed the material around the Velcro strips coming loose. I got a lighter to melt the threads and try to keep the nylon straps and velcro from unraveling any further. But after only two socks they are completely worn out. I trimmed and applied some heat but it looks like it will take time. So you know, Teva, don't crumble.3. Price. Today's price is $27. But Teva's real full-price official MSRP (for kids) is around $30-$35 and is on sale. So $27 isn't cheap enough for them. I ended up buying a real Teva for all my kids and bought three pairs that I found on sale at Zappos for $28 each!
