I used this slot in combination with a type of display called Clear Advantage because it was the manufacturer's recommended size (0.140 inch). This size was a little tight in the channel of my window frames and might have been too big had I used a thicker screen fabric. But once I got the hang of it, it was very easy to install. I even fixed the screen door and found this spline size to actually be perfect for the channel in the door frame. Not sure about durability but it has worked great for my project so far and I will be ordering more to fit all of mine window to complete.
