This could be the perfect hairbrush. I've always loved John Paul Jones DeJoria and his Paul Mitchell brand. This comb does what I want. I even like the color weird, kind of translucent white or transparent. You must have the patience to deal with the tangled mass (or mess) of hair that you have from neglect. I used small jaw clamps everyday to keep my loose hair out of my face and I didn't brush my hair everyday which you should because I'm in isolation at my house with my adorable cat. His coat looks a lot better than mine, but I brush him every day. This is an excellent comb with very wide, strong teeth. Really does the job you want. Definitely a must have for medium to long coats and will likely work well on long haired animals. Not painless, but you probably deserve a little reminder of the pain so your hair doesn't get into that mess again. You don't have to cut the nest as it will look awful. Comb carefully!
