Terrible design, at least for my purposes. If you want to chop up some eggs for an egg salad or something like that, this isn't the most efficient tool. The colored sections are too close together and need to be pulled apart with some force. If you want to cut the egg in both directions, you need to cut, take the cut egg so that it does not fall apart, pull out the slicer with one hand, put the egg back in the other direction, repeat. Also, there are too many unnecessary slots for food to get stuck. No thanks, I'm sticking with the traditional clamshell design that has served me well for years.
