do not recommend!
This tool started to bend and fail before I compressed the spring 3/4. I had to reinforce the back of both sides with steel plates to provide enough support to compress the spring. I used an S10 Jimmy door spring. Even with the added reinforcement, the tool was not properly designed to reach and install the spring. I finally decided to use another method and this tool ended up in the trash.
