I never bought this case because it's waterproof, I need it to protect my Gopro 8 car, truck, buggy or tank in the event of an accident or rollover that I don't want to damage Gopro 8. I've used cases like this for years when filming my stuff with on-board video. Now that I've stumbled across the Gopro 8, I want to protect it too. They're cheap enough that if you scratch them badly or break the plastic or tempered glass lens, they're easy and cheap to replace, even for the same price as gopro or gopro lenses. I found light scratches on the case, for which I deduct a star.
