It will be a wonderful gift for a child's birth.
I bought this set to feed our baby. The bowl is fairly sturdy with a nice wide rim around the rim making it perfect for holding. We haven't used this set yet but I can see that it will most likely be one of those kid keepsakes that we will keep long after our little girl has made the switch to using adult items. I'm thinking of having her name engraved on the bowl. It's not sterling silver (that would probably quadruple the price) but it's a beautiful set that comes in a separate box and would make a great baby shower gift.
