For reference, I'm about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weigh about 185 pounds. The chair was in excellent condition for about 1 month. It was easy to assemble. It was comfortable. I have sciatic nerve. and two ruptured discs from jumping out of an army plane and this chair has really helped me get into the correct sitting position without causing my back pain like most large upholstered chairs. That's why I love this chair. The problem with this is that after about 4 weeks the straps on the back sides began to loosen. You can see in the first picture on the left where the straps came out of the groove. The reason this happened is because the straps are barely held together by thin metal clips. First I found a support on the ground and started looking around there. That's when I noticed a loose spot in the fabric. Over the next 2 months this side came out completely resulting in a hole in the back and a lot of discomfort sitting in this thing because it no longer had a back. Since this is a $95 chair, I covered it with a towel and strapped it in so my back wouldn't rub against the plastic bar behind the shoulder straps. .Within another month, about 4 months now, the left armrest mechanism broke completely and now this lever won't hold. Two months later the same thing happened on the right side. I have tried making them stay upright but due to the fact that they are plastic this is quite difficult to do effectively. Within another month, around 6 months, all the plastic around the armrests started to crack and splinter. Super comfortable chair at a great price but after a few months it breaks. I can no longer use this chair. I've tried really hard to keep using it and I really don't find it acceptable as the lifespan is basically 2 months for $95. I hope the manufacturer/seller of this product sees this and gives me a refund or an upgraded chair. replace because I feel pretty cheated at this point.
