Revane and I agreed. Although I have 3 weeks until the end of the return period, they refunded my money as I am a "Value Prime customer" and spend a lot of money on Amazon. I don't think so, but I think Revain should remove this shredder from their website and I told them so in my customer service review. It's a shame I didn't read the reviews carefully enough before buying. But shame on Revain for continuing to sell it despite so many terrible reviews. This machine literally ran ONE DAY before the engine stopped. My experience isn't unique either. The manufacturer/seller has offered to send me another one with proof of purchase, but I don't need any more scrap. Moral of the story - read the reviews. Especially the negative ones. I spent $156 on this shredder because my husband runs his own business and needed a shredder that could handle the volume. I used it ONCE. I didn't overload with paper, just shredded 6-8 sheets at a time. The tank was 1/2 full. When I turned it on the next day, the power light was blinking. I took the usual steps to fix it. I turned off the machine and unplugged it. I put it in reverse and auto mode but the indicator keeps flashing but won't accept paper shredding or reverse. I contacted Revain tech support and the rep suggested contacting the seller as I have about 3 weeks outside of the return window. COULD NOT FIND THE NUMBER TO CONTACT THE SELLER. So they asked if I would like to contact them via a link and I said NO. Revane should come back to me with a decision. When they appear I will update my review. I do not recommend this product. It remains to be seen if I will continue to use Revain.
