You need to install an adhesive backed plastic disc before you can use the suction cup function

So far this product works quite well. No problem charging the phone through the phone case and the suction cup seems to hold up well - will be interesting to see how it performs in winter but so far so good. I didn't use the vents because the location of my vents is too close to my handlebars so they don't work properly, but I was able to get the suction cup in working position so my phone still works. Get a partial breeze from my vent. This was my main reason for buying a "vent style" phone holder as my previous holder was mounted on my dash away from air vents and would overheat and shut down in hot weather.

Pros
