This item poses a very serious fire hazard. It emits constant white smoke (something is burning inside - smells like burnt electrical cords) and gets so very hot (on the sides and bottom) that it closes my table underneath started smoking. Advertised as a practical office/room solution - a very bad idea! When I first tried it in the office (the idea was to use it to make coffee) - the smoke detector worked. I immediately unplugged it, but the worst thing is that the entire panel (and not just the hot surface) gets very hot - it was impossible to touch it or immediately move it to a safe place. It took an hour to cool off and be taken to safety. It is worth noting that it ships directly from China and this item takes a month and a half to deliver. Refund requested - seller ignored all requests. clearly in the hope that I would give up (especially since the price is quite low). That's probably why they're still in business - they ignore returns and people just forget. But because this thing almost burned my office down, this time I was too mad to give up on these assholes and I had to file a complaint with Amazon customer service to get a refund. Most likely, this thing is suitable for outdoor or indoor use. a well-ventilated garage, but considering how hot it is, it'll probably burn out real quick.
