Surprise, surprise, surprise!

I honestly didn't think my lab-mix would have any interest in this. Surprise! She loves it! I'll be honest, though, that it took a little work to get her used to it. I initially used pieces of chicken and hot dog to interest her and get her to be willing to really "hunt" for the food. I then moved to little chewy dog treats, and now I'm using regular dog food and feeding her exclusively on the mat some days. I haven't tried washing it yet, so it'll update this as to the durability and washability later. Right now, I love it and my lab-mix loves it.

Pros

Can be used to disguise medication or supplements for your dog

Cons

The mat may not be as effective for dogs with reduced sense of smell
