I purchased this to replace the cylinder on my existing office chair as we needed a higher seating position so my child could be more comfortable at the desk during distance learning. Once there was a problem with removing the old chair. was machined (we used a pipe wrench to clamp tight enough to loosen the base of the chair and a hammer to pry it out of the wheel end) it went straight in and worked fine for a few weeks. drown or momentarily lose altitude.
