The formula is quite thick, so it is nice that the nail polish does not penetrate the cuticles. If they tell you to use thin coats, take it seriously or you'll end up with an uneven finish. I apply about three thin coats and there is fairly even coverage, you can still see a small nail but not that much. It works great with the base and top coats advertised with it. The colors are super pigmented! The only problem I have is that even with very thin layers it's still clumpy and uneven, I think it's just because the glitters are quite big.
