1991 Jeep XJ 4.0: I bought this gasket with crossed fingers, I've seen an increase in fuel economy and performance. Unfortunately, I broke the golden rule of installing multiple mods at once, so while I did see a performance boost, I can't attribute it to the spacer alone. Be warned, if you're installing this gasket like I did with an aftermarket throttle body, you'll need different bolts. The heads of the included bolts touched the sides of my throttle body, preventing me from fully tightening it. While I can't confirm an increase in performance, I can tell you that these gaskets make servicing your throttle body easier. much easier. With the spacer installed you can now remove your IAC without removing the throttle body.
