Review on Heating Washable Lightweight Without Black Rhombus by Brittany Harris

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good for the middle layer. Spotty handling and too big.

Two stars initially but after experimenting with this I was able to get the neck area to work and get the front and back to work at the same time. The controls are tricky so don't ask me how I did it, but it's definitely possible. The battery needs a decent capacity, otherwise it just doesn't deliver enough power to the vest. Either way, you'll need a big backpack as the high level is the only setting worth using. Great concept and it really adds warmth. Don't worry about low or medium settings as they don't really do much. You will get the most out of it if you use it as a middle layer. As an outer layer, a vest alone doesn't insulate enough to retain much heat, so wear it under a jacket. Too bad the "stomach area" wasn't lengthened a bit more so it can be used as a hand warmer. You can feel the warmth on your fingers at the very top of the pockets, but using it that way isn't enough. It would deserve an extra star in my book. Got this for my partner, but the feminine dress looks great on her. It's even a bit big for me. It is more in line with the average size of a man. Which is very unfortunate because you want a layer of insulation like this to be denser.
