Description says 6 inches thick: Product Dimensions: 15 x 20 x 6 inches; 2.2lbs I assumed the edges meant as measurements at the highest point, but it's nowhere near as thick. I would rate it at 3-4 inches on the edges and 1-1.5 inches in the center. I love the way they look - they're simple and clean and not as noticeable in my house (I have two of these in my living room) and I didn't like how overwhelming the other beds were. However, I have them on my tiles so I don't think they have enough protection and I can say my dogs aren't crazy about them so I may need to put extra padding under or over them or put them in a carpeted room bring and buy something else for a tiled room. If they were really as thick as advertised, that would be perfect.
