Somehow they are too big. My son isn't exactly skinny, but he's small for his age (size 10-12 and he's almost 12). In them he has to tighten his waist, which is normal, but his legs are VERY wide. He looks a bit goofy in it tbh. The good thing is that they are universal and suitable for everyone. It would be ideal if your son were more muscular. But if you have a fishing pole or a thinner boy, he will swim in it.
