Review on SP600EX RT Canon Speedlite 600EX RT by Janis Endzelins ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

Great top flash. With a caveat only to the tendency to overheat. But this is a tribute to the power of the impulse and there is nowhere to go, you have to correct your work or consider whether it is worth taking an extra shot. Especially overheating can be faced by wedding planners and reporters, when in a registry office or a restaurant during compeions it is required to shoot almost in series. And in a mobile studio, where the main thing is the framing and the plot, it's just perfect without reservations.

Pros
  • Great flash. I am delighted with the acquisition. Great job TTL. Dust / moisture protection (everything is rubberized). Excellent build. It is very firmly attached to the shoe and sits like a glove. Power is more than enough to work in any room. She showed herself excellently during the day when shooting with photo umbrellas and softboxes. The autofocus backlight is even redundant. Captures even the extreme focus points with illumination. The head drops 7 degrees down. Not much, but when working with the same photo umbrellas, it helps to direct the impulse closer to the center. Built-in RT synchronizer. Pampering, of course (it’s cheaper to buy a TTL shoe synchronizer than a second such flash), but nonetheless. Recharge less than 1 second (when using high-quality batteries such as Imedion or Eneloop). Perfect for a mobile studio on the go. There are all the necessary operating modes (even a stroboscope). Helps a lot at work.
Cons
  • Overheats. Not very suitable for reporting, because. dislikes continuous shooting. It also cools down for a long time. We have to take 2 of these for shooting so that they rest in turn. Well, another claim is a plastic lens. Many have seen her melted. So do not her after the warning of overheating.
