Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Racor PBS-2R Bike Stand Garage for 2 Bikes - Enhanced SEO by Marcus Hardin

Beautiful design with some serious flaws

The bike rack has a beautiful design that should be easy to use and easy to reconfigure, but it has very cheap hardware, it is unstable and it is very difficult to have two to accommodate bicycles in it. The included Allen screws are made of very poor quality steel. The included hex key doesn't fit (it's cheap and out of tolerance). If the screws are a little tight, she will slip and tear off the bushing on the screw. After you get a good allen wrench and try again you will find that the rails will break next time because the threaded inserts in the steel parts are also out of tolerance and too tight. In fact, if you ship it with better quality steel bolts, the chances of this happening are greatly reduced. Then, once assembled, you'll find that even with a racing bike parked on the stand, it can fall over. I had an empty saddlebag on one side of the bike and the stand couldn't hold my bike upright. This is worse on road bikes since bike wheels are flimsy and can be angled in wheel holders. It's more stable with two bikes, but you can't put two bikes next to each other pointing in the same direction. There isn't enough room to have two handlebars on a road bike, or two mountain bikes, or a mountain bike and a road bike side by side. You must park a bike on the back wheel and on the front wheel, or reassemble it in a configuration that forces you to park a bike on each side. It takes up a lot more space. If the manufacturer had added an inch or two of space between the bike racks and maybe an inch on each side (for stability) the product would have been much better, probably a five star product. Overall, the corners were cut to save a buck. and the product suffers badly. It is better not to buy this product and look for a better one.
