Review on πŸ”Œ ULTRAPOWER 4Amp 12.8V-14.4V Lipo LifePO4 Battery Charger: Intelligent 4-Stage Maintenance Trickle Charger for Cars, Motorcycles, Lawn Mowers, Toy Cars, and Golf Carts by Craig Mcdonald

Works as intended, Note: Basically, the charger is "ready for use ".

When the charger is unplugged and plugged back in, it discharges and starts a new charge cycle, charging the LiFePO4 battery up to 14.4V. It draws about 60W from the outlet while charging and 0 .5 W after switching off. The vampire current is very low, which is great! So far so good, that's mostly the desired behavior. It's good that it turns off, but the description also said it has a maintenance mode and I don't really see it. If so, it won't turn on until the battery dies pretty seriously. There must be documentation somewhere on how this is supposed to work. I gave him a star. In other words, it basically works in one-and-done mode. I haven't experienced the overheating issue that others have reported, but I'll test it out with a dead battery soon. It's hard to imagine that this could be a problem as the charger only puts out 4A. I will also point out to whoever posted the note that the charger treats the battery differently when reconnected. It's virtually impossible to determine the state of charge of a LiFePO4 battery without counting the watt-hours (which most chargers don't do). The reason for this is that the voltage of the LiFePO4 battery doesn't really drop that much until it's almost dead. It is important that the charger goes through the correct steps at the correct voltage to charge the battery. β€” Matt.
