Review on πŸ”Œ Coaxial Video and Power Multiplexer: AHD/CVI/TVI/CVBS Signal Extender, Transmitting Over 400 Meters (1300ft) by Derrick Bellando

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Allows power and video to be transmitted over the same coaxial cable.

I had an older reversing camera and monitor in my RV. He used a single coaxial cable to carry power from the monitor to the camera and video from the camera to the monitor. Device blocks require a separate power supply for the monitor and camera. Instead of running a new power cable for the camera I used these blocks. I installed a unit in the cabin and connected the power wires to the ignition and the video to the monitor. I installed another unit behind the camera and connected the video cable and power supply to the camera. Now the camera turns on at the same time as the monitor. Be careful when choosing connectors as some video devices do not use the BNC connectors that come with those devices. I had to replace one of the connectors because my two ends of the cable were different.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • The list will be long.
