Bought because I have some copy protected VHS that I want to burn to DVD. Some because I don't have the film on DVD, some because I want to keep the VHS features with previews etc, and some don't exist on DVD or are very hard to find. It was easy to hook up, although I kinda screwed it up the first time. But I succeeded on the second try and at the moment I've burned two VHS tapes to DVD, which I couldn't do before, and this is my third time doing this. I've wanted to get one of these and try it for a long time and I'm glad I finally did. I know I'll get my money back. Edit #1: After copying four tapes to DVD, I noticed that there is a slight flicker and the picture gets a bit brighter. Some ribbons flicker more than others. Still happy with the device but wish it didn't affect the brightness. Edit #2: After making 20 cassettes I have to say I'm very happy with it. As I said, some bands flicker more than others, but overall quality is the same. Grex has been a great investment, allowing me to put some of my classic Disney tapes with nostalgic previews, intros etc as well as some tapes I don't have onto DVD. I haven't found a tape yet that can't handle this. Remember to order direct from Revain as you will be receiving it from the US and not overseas which means much faster shipping.
