Review on Efficient Cooling and Heating Solution: LG LT1237HNR 11,200 BTU Heat Air Conditioner, 12000, White by Becky Gallegos

LG's previous unit was great and lasted 10 years. This replacement was supposed to work, but arrived damaged. No damage was visible, so I proceeded with the installation. It was a pass-through block, so installation was not an easy process. I expected it to be difficult so it wasn't a problem. It wasn't until we completed the installation, disposed of the relatively intact shipping box, and turned the unit on that we realized the fan wasn't working. I called LG service, a technician came and found that the chassis was deformed. It seemed to him that UPS had dropped the device somewhere along the way. The bottom line is these heavy units (91 pounds) don't ship well and I would never ship them again. LG makes a good product and Revain stocked them at a good price, but shipping such individual units would almost certainly result in damage. I will buy local, I won't do it again!
