I have a Bose ANC for plane and train travel and just needed something simple to listen to music at home but mainly for learning languages without closing the door. I tried them for a half hour lesson last night and thought they had failed. They're not really over the ear unless you have tiny ears. But more importantly, they are very uncomfortable. There's almost no padding in the headpiece, and I'm still feeling the effects of wearing it this morning. I return it and try the Philips, which the reviewers say is very comfortable. I have a great home theater when I need good sound and, as I said, a Bose for traveling (whenever it's safe again). All I wanted was something useful for limited use, but that doesn't fit at all.
