This rug is the 'fake distressed' look, so as long as you know the coloring is spotty and obviously fake-aged when you get it, it's a good rug. Over time, I think it will look even better. I bought it for the colors and patterns, which are beautiful, and to add some 'cozy' to my new wood floors. It's perfect for that. It feels good - soft and plush. If you're looking for an oriental carpet that feels real, this isn't it, but if you're wanting to add some interest to a room, it's perfect. With a skid pad under it, it's just thick enough to do yoga on. I've had it down for a couple months and the corners are still curling up, but honestly, I haven't tried to fix that.
