I was surprised to see these drain plug gaskets labeled OEM Toyota Parts. It was a pleasant surprise and gave me confidence. I'm in my 60's and have always changed the oil myself except for a few times. I want to make sure everything is done right, the right oil and amount of oil, the screw is screwed in correctly, the right oil filter, etc. Honestly, a lot can go wrong and that's one of the few times I've trusted a shop . removed the oil pan. I believe they used a pneumatic wrench to tighten it. Not sure. That was a costly mistake for me and I learned my lesson. That being said, I've endeavored to get proper crush washers from time to time, but if I didn't have them I just didn't bother. The. Guess what? Nothing bad ever happened. However, there is good reason to take all reasonable precautions to protect and preserve your valuable vehicle. It seems like a simple, easy, and affordable step toward that goal. Since I now drive fully synthetic oil and change the oil less often, the little effort is easily justified. I'm glad I found them and will be using them at every oil change from now on. I recommend.
