UPDATE: I've had this phone for about (7) seven months now and have noticed that the large buttons now require a harder press. The dust seems to settle in the crevices of the keys around the perimeter, making them less responsive. Let's get back to 4 stars. We all know that voting via smartphone/mobile phone requires the utmost accuracy. Even my regular feature phone at work seemed oddly outdated when I replaced it with this (cool) phone/answering machine. The buttons are huge for a phone and the display is great - it shows the time, date, missed calls and large font; Name and caller! It's easy to read. It shows the number of calls and the number of NEW calls. It's very easy to set up, besides the answering machine there are features like speakerphone (with red backlight), mute, flash, caller ID, call waiting, redial, audio support, intercom and speed dial (10 numbers only, unfortunately). Requires (4) AA batteries (not included). The numbers are NOT highlighted but I found them very easy to read as they are white on a black background. The various functions mentioned above will only appear when (4) AA batteries are installed. The display folds to an angle that is comfortable for you. The sound quality is actually not bad for this price. Since I'm at work it's good to have a corded phone, but the speakerphone is good when I'm talking to others. The ringer volume can be changed or set to three volumes (pulse to tone). However, I found that even the lowest setting was noisy. I would have liked a quieter sound as this is my work phone now. This phone is great for everyone, especially retirees who like big numbers.
