My 3 year old can't break them and they fly great.

They don't look like most foam planes, they're a bit heavy for their size so they need to be thrown properly to fly, but the upside is that they're very durable. I had another foam plane that my 3 year old son broke in under 1 hour but they have been used and abused for about a week now and they are still as good as the day we received them . Up mode to down mode changes the flight characteristics and it is very easy to do.
