The dark red and black polygel are not as pigmented as I had hoped. Nevertheless, I was excited to do my nails. Working with and spreading the polygel was fine with slip solution (I didn’t use alcohol - I find that it causes polygel to goop up my brushes.) HOWEVER, when it came time to cure my nails, I had a miserable time. I don’t know if it’s because my nails are on the flat side and I have to build up a curve, but the polygel didn’t want to set. I wound up curing my nails multiple times for 90 seconds (top and underside) just to get a polygel the set. This was particularly annoying because when it came time to file down my nails and clean up the undersides, I would run into tacky gel not far beneath the cured portion. This should not be happening with a 40W UV/LED lap.
