This spot welding torch operates as advertised. Makes clean cuts with careful use. It is important to make a deep hole with a center punch. It is also important to use a variable speed drill. I have found that if you place the center of the quill in the center punch hole, leave the center of the quill in the hole and slowly start drilling with no tooth contact. Then very slowly increase the pressure on the drill bit until the teeth meet. Once the router has made a shallow hole, you can speed up the router. Care must be taken when doing this, because if you are not careful, you can quickly cut through both layers of metal. I've also found that a few drops of oil in the cutter head pocket speeds up the cut. I've drilled about 40 spot welds and am still using the first router.
