There's a lot wrong with this thing. The worst thing is the disgusting rubbery smell that comes from the handle and suction cups. I don't know what kind of rubber they used but it stinks and won't go away and the rubber grip smells on my hand. Today I tried to switch the cutter to the largest size. I cut my thumb on sharp metal and ended up covered in blood. I decided to unscrew the metal V-plate and sand down the sharp edges so it wouldn't cut me again. Then a black precipitate came off the metal block that pushes the chips. All my hands are black. I don't know if it's because I put these things in the dishwasher before using them or if the black stuff on the metal was in front of my hand. I didn't pay much attention to it, but the two blocks I put in the dishwasher are now a darker color and I had to wash off the black dregs because it had detached from the potatoes. It is also quite difficult to change cutting tools of different sizes. You will need to use a screwdriver on the two screws and then loosen the two wing nuts to remove the cutting tool. Removing the metal block that is pushing the chips is even more difficult. It only has two screws, but the bottom one is very difficult to reach. On the plus side, it cuts chips with ease. I have to push, push, push in stages, but I wouldn't say you have to be a bodybuilder for that. So I'm giving it 2 stars because so far it's working well, but it seems like it was made in China with inferior materials and no quality control or thoughtful design.
