Review on 19790 Pacific Playhouse - Ultimate Play Tent for Kids by Paul Stocks

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very warm inside (among other things)

I like the theory behind it, but I have a lot of buyer scruples. For starters, it came with a slight gap. It's okay, no one will see, the past. But even with the flaps open, it gets VERY warm inside. My son regularly woke up in the middle of the night to take off his pajamas. From my son's point of view, he liked it, but he was too rough with it. I ended up getting him completely out of bed before he could destroy him. The material is quite thin and the mattress was snug so it shifted a bit. Instead we're going to use it on the ground for a fun tent. I gave this 3 stars because of the heating issue - it's very hot inside and also because of the way the flaps slide back. Velcro straps are at the bottom which allows the panels to fall off, basically they can be closed at this point. Also, the tree house theme is lost on my 4 year old. He has no idea what it really is, I wish there were other design options. But part of my regret (which has nothing to do with those stars) is that I can't just sit on the edge of the bed and talk to him; I can't lie with him and rub his back. We cannot sit and read a book together as it is comfortable for him to sleep. Those are serious reasons I don't like it. Just adding these thoughts for anyone who may be reading this. This item put up a wall between my son and I; I definitely didn't think of that when I bought it. Again, this has nothing to do with my stars, I just wanted to point out other reasons why I regret the purchase.
