This is a good little personal cooler, I use mine in addition to the fan because I don't have air conditioning. I have a large bedroom so it needs to be very close for it to be effective, it doesn't leak but will obviously muffle things right in front. Once the water runs out, the evaporative air feature will be disabled and the unit will continue to operate in fan mode if it is on. Not very loud, but not very quiet either. Overall I am very happy with this product, I used to have Artic Air and it only broke after 1 summer. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to cool down a private space without air conditioning.
