Review on Silent Floor Mat & Wireless 🔕 Pager: Minimize Disruptive Alarm Sounds in Patient's Room! by Kathleen Ledoux

This was purchased for my father who recently moved from rehab to a nursing home. He's in danger of falling, so rescuers stopped by every hour when he was in his room. Nobody else at the nursing home has a remote sensor, so I was worried it would put a strain on the staff, even though I knew it would make their lives easier. Other residents have no alarms/sensors. When I saw my dad's assistant over the weekend, she said she checked on my dad and he was still asleep in the morning, and she was across the building an hour later when the pager rang - she knew that she had to check on him to make sure getting up was safe. She said it was "cool". How often do you hear something called "cool” in the industry? A very affordable product and I believe this will help maintain his current level of care. Two things - 1. The mat itself is really just a touchpad for the floor. I thought it would have more cushions but it won't replace the fall rug. 2. The volume/mute on the indoor unit was difficult to understand. The first mate and I had to call customer service to go through the process as it is not in the instructions (you have to remove the battery cover and turn the black wheel).
