Took about 15 minutes. Setup with easy-to-understand instructions. I'm only about 190 pounds. which is far below this chair's 350-pound weight capacity. Everything was fine and comfortable until a few months of ownership. The seat slowly began to lower from time to time due to gas lift cylinder failure. Now I have to either find a compatible replacement cylinder by trial and error (very long/expensive) or throw it away and lose $130 (at the time of purchase). In the Q&A section of this product, the manufacturer mentioned an OEM cylinder website, but when I checked, none of their online stores offered any parts when I searched for the GAS.G-008 gas spring. Not a happy camper. product defect. I do not recommend. Edited on February 21, 2019: So I felt compelled to let others know how I recently solved my gas spring problem. I was looking for a tutorial on YouTube on how to replace a gas strut, but I came across a video of a man inserting a PVC sleeve between the seat base and the chair base. Instead of PVC, I found a steel 1-1/2 inch push-in coupler for about $7 including tax from Home Depot as shown in my picture. I figured PVC would crack over time and since I rarely need to lower my chair, steel would be a better option. At the very bottom of the cylinder is a metal clip that can be easily removed with a small flat head screwdriver. After this is removed, the base slides off with the wheels. Insert the sleeve into the cylinder and replace the base. Voila!
