Feedback on size 7.5M

The review gave the wrong size and I wasn't allowed to change it. My order history clearly shows the size I bought, received and returned, size 7.5 M. It's largely identical to the review I posted for the Romy Easy Spirit shoes, except the AP1 hiking shoes are my first choice were. Hiking shoes for two decades. I've bought many pairs of these in white and black over the years. But this shoe is apparently dead and gone, name aside. Now the design of the shoe bears no resemblance to the original of this model. This points to the peculiar unevenness of the shoe interior in the two mentioned Easy Spirit shoes that I tried recently. One star because it was a shock at how poorly fitting the shoe was compared to previous Easy Spirit sizes. It's not so much too big as it is crazy and inconsistently loose due to the weird vertical space. I've been buying Easy Spirit for over two decades. They have changed their production several times for the styles I wear, slightly less quality and comfort but still my favorite brand of shoes. However, the current shoe in this style is not for those who have previously relied on Easy Spirit's fit. The inner mold is terrible for the midfoot. It has the right length and width in the forefoot but the toe box is too deep so the foot kinda tilts up there. The heel part is too small, but at the same time too wide, so the back half of the foot slips out of the boot when walking. This shoe is either for those who have a very odd arch, or it's not planned right away. for the human foot. It's a shame that instead of sticking to the tried and true "form follows function” formula, companies are vying to demonstrate change for change's sake.
