Review on ๐Ÿ‘€ Rothco OTG Ballistic Goggles: Exceptional Eye Protection for Tactical Operations and Outdoor Activities by Corey Krull

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very comfortable and meets Milspec!

I recently saw what happens to ordinary glasses when hit by a ricochet or other projectile: they shatter into pieces. I was thinking about getting regular goggles for shooting over goggles, but then I found out about different specs for eye protection. The strictest specifications are the various US military specifications. After a long and hard search for military spec eye protection (overall: military spec is 7 times stronger than ANSI eye protection standards) I found these goggles. Unfortunately I need glasses. Looking at prescription eyewear, Milspec quickly surpassed the $500 mark and kept climbing. A recent change to my recipe made me think twice about such expenses that may have a short useful life. So I needed eye protection to wear over glasses. I read the reviews and ordered. They arrived and I was impressed. Fair warning: I haven't taken her to the shooting range yet. However, I can wear them over glasses (they are rimless and very light); Optics are very good: clear, almost no distortion. There are cutouts for the temples. Since my frames have titanium style flexible temples I have to adjust them and my glasses after I put the glasses on but once installed they seem to stay in place well. (Another thing I'm changing is my hearing protection from electronic headphones to electronic headphones, among other things to cause less interference with my glasses.) I look like a fool wearing them on court, not as part of one tactical outfits? Yes, perhaps. I do not care? no After seeing the results from prescription glasses and then the results from ANSI shooting glasses, I knew it was worth it. I will update the information after reaching the area and use it for several hours at a time.
