First, let me explain why I needed this product. I am a self-employed, full-time, overworked photographer. I hadn't played with an editing tablet in a while, but I wasn't willing to pay for a Wacom I might not *like*. I have purchased a Huion lightweight tablet through Revain in the past and have been pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price. $30.00 for a modest character insert was totally worth it, and with a plethora of positive reviews to back it up, I was pretty much sold. I wasn't overly impressed with the overall presentation of the packaging, but I'm tough with it too. . On the whole he was cared for and well looked after; this is important. The extra glove + cleaning kit made up for it too. The tablet itself is slim, light and looks well put together. After inserting the battery into the pen unit, I felt that the plastic casing of the pen body really spoiled the attractiveness. BUT I love that it's so light and has a rubber grip. At first I was a bit disappointed with the size of the artboard, but don't let that put you off. Once I started shooting, I found that I wasn't taking up more than 2-3 inches of space, with plenty of free surface. The installation on my computer went quickly and without problems. I had no problem navigating the setup and my hotkeys were programmed in no time. It's a dream to use in Photoshop, there are no lags. I find that the two buttons on the stylus don't interact well with the PS interface. I'm really amazed at how much this has speeded up my workflow; I noticed the difference in the first photo! My detail work is much more precise and requires half as much force as with the mouse. I think for the money you are paying this is a solid product and a fantastic alternative to an expensive competitor. If you're just trying the water, I highly recommend starting here.
