I think this will be a great toy for STEM, critical thinking and skill development. However, in the market, it is suitable for children over 3 years old and the parts are tiny. I thought the sticks were longer and had balls on the magnetic ends. The silver spheres are not fixed and not a magnetic part as there are tiny magnets on both sides (poles) of even smaller sticks. The sticks are smaller than a segment of the joint, and each individual piece can easily choke, let alone multiple pieces plus silver bullets. Add to that the magnetic abilities and you have an ambulance call waiting in the wings. Leave that to your older, critical-thinking, mechanically experimenting child. Definitely not for children under 7 years old. Also, be careful with pets.
