I'm amazed at how strong and durable it is. After moving to a new house, we had to leave our pet Dyson (which was enough) because there was no place to pack him. The new house has a nice old central vacuum system which was very skeptical. But there is no energy head or magic wand. Just a hose and some small slot machines. I wanted to buy another fancy Black Friday vacuum but just couldn't get through it. Our friend was last and we are her head + wand and it worked so I checked out this one and it's even better than the one she loaned us. The things I like are strong or strong but not heavy. The retractable stick clicks and is very easy to adjust, it's not difficult to extend at all, it just glides. But it is safe. 4 height settings to meet different floor needs. Our Dyson didn't have that, and the switch from hardwood to wool carpets made it less adaptable. Roller brush made of wood! like what! That is beautiful. The only uncertainty I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars is that a metal rod hit me. I think it was building up static because I originally had a low floor and the carpet was stupidly plush old and causing buildup. So I'm wondering if this could have been prevented by design? For example, is our vacuum system not grounded, our plugs or power supply? It seems that they should all be protected from this.
