Review on πŸ’§ Aquatic Twist: Unleashing the Power of 4 Stage Water Filtration by Epickson Palma

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Surprisingly not for heavy chloramines.

So I bought this RODI system when I first started cycling. Everything about the system is perfect, easy to install, easy to control and very convenient to transport. I give this RODI 5 stars BUT it only lasted me 1 month before it was wasted. In Houston, the water is heavily chlorinated and contains chloramines. Chloramines are not processed in the system. So if your city uses a lot of chloramines (chlorine + ammonia), the charcoal block will take care of the chlorine but not the ammonia, so it'll go straight through the system. If that's the case or you're not sure, wait until Black Friday and buy the 6-Step Dual Di-Resin System from BRS. I bought mine on Black Friday for $229 and this system is a beast. I would suggest checking it out on their website, I promise it's worth the extra money, it lasts longer even under replacement conditions, the di-resin and dual carbon block can be replaced in a couple of places if they're worn out so me instead, when you change the medium, you change the first medium to the second and get water for more months, of course it depends on how much water you produce.

Pros
  • ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER REDUCES CHLORINE. The second stage of reverse osmosis for water is a carbon filter. The 5 micron activated carbon filter reduces chlorine and purifies the water.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
