Does not work as a projector stand atop a tripod

After reading reviews on the metal projector stands to go atop a tripod, I found this. I read over everything carefully not knowing if it can be mounted on a tripod and used as a projector stand or not. Upon reading all the details, I read that it can be used in this way.Problem is, the metal nut the tripod screws into does not stay in the little hole drilled in the wood to put it in and the platform becomes very unstable.I ended up buying one of the metal trays advertised as a tripod projector tray. Not especailly happy with it but it works and I did not find anything better.
