Review on Centric Parts 122 33003 Brake Drum by Chad Cross

Centric Parts 122.33003 brake drum looks like OEM, Centric Parts 122.33003 brake drum seemed solid and in great condition for production in another country (China). This product was well made and fitted for the intended application (VW Type 1 rear drum) with no issues. Nice splines, I didn't expect it to be so well done. I would buy another one if I had to. On the packaging, the drum was sealed with tape for shipping, indicating to the user that it did not need to be washed, sharpened (on a lathe) and installed straight out of the box. PLEASE wash the contact surfaces of the brake drum with brake cleaner or other non-marking cleaning agent as the drum is coated with anti-rust oil and will contaminate the material of the brake pads if not removed.
