I have a 20.5 inch hips and a 33 inch waist. Slight folds of extra material (extra space). Wash once and they are perfect! Walked 10 miles cross country in a new, unwashed pair. They held up great. Thicker ribbed material waistband which is great because it keeps my nylon/polyester shorts from slipping while running. My camel back started leaking while running and I'm glad I wore them instead of cotton underwear. Cotton would hold water and hold weight. I got wet for 7 miles. After the run, I dried off quickly and was ready to go home.
