I don't know what happened this time. I had the same popper and loved it, but after a few years it started falling apart. We use it all the time, so we're not surprised this happened. It was a great popper and we used it at least a few times a week. Since ours was on its last legs, we ordered a new one. First, the packaging now says Made in China. I was pretty sure my last one was made in the USA. next problem. I open it up and start washing it so we can use it, noticing that the latches holding the top are a different color. I look closely and notice they are covered in old grease. Strange and Yuk! The rest of the popper is new and clean. It's like they took these parts off an old, very used popper and put them on top of my new one. I'm attaching a photo so you can see what I'm talking about. Now for the third problem. The lid doesn't fit very well, but only on one side. You have to press really hard and put it in place. The two lids are slightly different in size. One fits and the other doesn't. Not as good as my old one. Very confused.
