It's a TRANSMITTER! This means that it sends the OUT signal from the device to the BLUETOOTH (wireless) ELEMENTS. I can't think of anything that I don't like about this station. It cost me about $100 along with the transmitter (and two separately purchased neckpieces with speakers) that work with Bluetooth technology. Now the TV is off. The sound of silence is wonderful. YES - This transmitter requires the separate purchase of wireless speakers: headphones, earphones, etc. We originally purchased the wireless devices thinking they would pair with the TV, but they didn't. ** Our small neck items have audio delay. The sound is delayed by about one second. But we know we lack the knowledge to change that. We haven't tried it yet. Here's how to fix the problem. But when we turn off the TV; it doesn't matter, so we didn't bother. We only used it for about 24 hours. I really like these two items as a pair and both are sold at Revain.
